Hammonds Plains Community Centre has historic roots, built in 1939 as a two-room schoolhouse. In 1969, it was converted to a community hall and has served as the social hub of Hammonds Plains for 50 years. We look forward to working with you to make your special day fun, easy and affordable.
The centre has a new kitchen which was renovated in 2016. It features a fridge, double-oven range and a commercial dishwasher. Dishes and cutlery are available. We are open to the caterer of your choice or we can refer one to you.
The Firefighter’s Hall is located on the main floor and has capacity for 187 guests. It is air conditioned and has wireless internet service. It occupies 2,200 square feet of space and includes a 12x12’ stage area. A sound system, projector and screen are available. Features a fully stocked bar with premium brands at low prices. There is a large level parking lot and is wheelchair accessible, with designated parking and ramp at the rear.
