All you need to do after the big day
When all the excitement of your wedding day has died down and you have returned from honeymoon, don’t forget there will still be a few things to do when you get back. Take a look at our post wedding to-do list, filled with all you need to do after your wedding.
Write Your Thank You Notes
General wedding etiquette states to leave it no longer than two months after your wedding to send you thank you notes. As you open your wedding cards and gifts, make a note of who bought you what so that you can make each thank you note personal.
Your Wedding Gifts
Split your wedding gifts into three sections — items you will use right away — items you will be able to use for the future than can be safely stored then gifts you will need to return or exchange. If you have received duplicates of items then save the feelings of the buyer and quietly exchange it.
The Sensible Stuff
If you have chosen to change your name then there are some legalities, you will need to change your driver’s licence, bank accounts and if you haven’t already — then you may want to set up a joint bank account.
Choose some of your most treasured items from your wedding and make a memory box, it will be fun to go back and look at it on anniversaries.
Make a Plan
You may feel a little lost once all your wedding planning is done — combat this by planning a fun trip together or a long weekend away. Even if it is far in the future, it will give you something to focus on.
