Andrew and Ashley chose to celebrate their wedding with a reception at the Earl Grey Golf Club in Calgary. The couple visited around 30 wedding venues in their hunt for the perfect one, and fell for the event room at the Earl Grey Golf Club as it had elegant high ceilings and full length glass windows, which led out to a wraparound deck and a stunning garden of tropical flowers.
130 guests attended the reception, which had a summery blue theme. They chose a luxury buffet as their catering option, and guests completed table quizzes to win their places in the buffet queue. The menu included roasted Alberta beef with wild mushroom jus and salmon with lemon and dill sauce.
They also treated guests to wedding favors in the form of miniature houseplants, in ceramic pots with the couple’s names and wedding date on them. Vases on the tables were lined with rocks and pebbles to honor their engagement story!
