When to go:
Venezuela’s climate changes with altitude and can vary from cool in the mountains to tropical and hot in the lowlands. Your final destination and itinerary will need to be considered when packing for a honeymoon in Venezuela. Average daytime temperatures remain at around 28 degrees Celsius in the low lying areas, but drop down to 8 degrees or so in the mountainous regions. You may want to avoid the rainy season, which runs from May through December.

Travel Documents
NBefore departure, UK passport holders will be issued a tourist entry card when they check-in before departing for their honeymoon in Venezuela. When you arrive at Simon Bolivar International Airport, you can hire a taxi to take you into the capital, or transfer to a domestic flight to your final destination. The law in Venezuela states that a marriage must comply with the laws set out in the Civic Code and a civil ceremony can only take place between a man and a woman. There is no waiting period in Venezuela and a couple can marry as soon as their paperwork is in order. The documents needed are valid passports, certified birth certificates, certificates of marital status, divorce certificate (if applicable) and death certificate (if applicable).
