A visit to other districts such as Chinatown and Granville island are also a must. If you really want to see what the city looks like then climb to the top of the so called 'Vancouver lookout' an observation deck that is part of the Harbour Centre Tower. It happens to be the tallest building in the province. If you want to get away from the city a visit to Stanley Park set in over 1000 acres offers great vies of the city and harbour. The Vancouver aquarium which is also situated in Stanley Park is the oldest aquarium in Canada and here you can see the beautiful Beluga Whale amongst others. Finally if you want to see the real thing, then why not take a boat trip out and go Whale watching. On the whole Vancouver has so much to offer and flights from Johannesburg with fly here via 1 stop which means getting here is relatively simple. So what are you waiting for?

If you prefer walking, then the city itself is fairly compact and easy to get around. Vancouver is known for its wide pavements with cafes at every turn. Why not grab yourself a coffee and simply people watch. For that touch of romance, why not take a harbour cruise at night. If it's nature and wildlife you're after then a visit to the Aquarium has over 7000 aquatic animals. Alternatively how about seeing them in their natural habitat and take a whale watching tour. You do not have to be a British Columbia resident to be married in the province. However, you are required to get a Marriage Licence which is valid for a term of three months and only valid in British Columbia.

Anyone over 19 years of age is eligible to apply for a marriage licence in BC. If one or both individuals were recently divorced within the last 31 days, proof of divorce must be provided. No licence is issued until the courts finalize a divorce, normally 31 days after the divorce decree is issued by the Courts.
