Officially named St. Barthelemy but widely known as St Barts this tiny Caribbean island is only 8 miles across and yet boasts a plethora of stunning white beaches, glitzy marinas, tropical wildlife and fabulous resorts, which is why weddings abroad in St. Barts are growing in popularity. If you want your special day to be stylish and full of glamour, then this is the perfect setting for you to exchange your vows. The first choice of the champagne and caviare set, your wedding day in St. Barts will be unforgettable both for you and your guests.
It's fairly complicated getting married in St. Barts and the first requirement is that one of the couple has to have resided on the island for a month prior to getting married. You will need copies of your birth certificates, a letter of good conduct (which also certifies your marital status, a medical certificate (including a blood test not more than 3 months before your wedding date), and certified French translations of all of your documents. There is no cost and a “Bulletin de Marriage” will be delivered to the ceremony. For more information visit http://www.premiumiv.com/st-barts-wedding-legality.php
