Quebec’s climate is temperate and humid, and snow falls on average eight months out of the year. The best time to book your honeymoon in Quebec if you’re hoping for summery weather is sometime between July and October. The average daily temperature from June through August is from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, but nights are often cooler. If skiing or skating, or walks in the snow are your thing, plan a visit for February and you can experience the famous Winter Carnival at the same time. Pack warm clothing, as winter temperatures often fall to 10 degrees below zero, or lower.

Marriage Requirements


Before conducting the marriage ceremony, the officiant must announce the couple’s intention to marry by means of a notice posted for 20 days before the date of the marriage at the place where the ceremony is to be held and at the nearest courthouse. The notice must include the name, domiciliary address and date and place of birth of each of the intended spouses; the accuracy of the information must be confirmed by a witness of full age.
