Whilst you're in Port Louis you could always go to a horse race at the Port Louis racecourse, which is the oldest race course in the Indian Ocean. The longest village in Mauritius, the Triolet Shivala is also worth visiting and here you can see the temple of Maheshwarnath which is dedicated to several Gods, including Krishna, Brahma and Vishnu. Whilst you're in the northern region you could hike or take a bike round some of the stunning mountain scenery. To cool off, in the inland region, it's very refreshing to visit the Tamarind Falls where there's not one but seven waterfalls surrounded by lush green mountains. You can splash around in the pools at the foot of the falls. However you spend your time, a honeymoon in Mauritius will be truly memorable.
