A climate which varies widely between one area of the nation and the next should be expected during your honeymoon in Chile. It is dry and hot in the north, while the south experiences colder temperatures and lots of rain. For a typical Mediterranean climate, visit the middle regions of Chile, where the rainy season only lasts from May until August. In general, Chile experiences four seasons: spring (September to November), summer (December to February), autumn (March to May), and winter (June to August). For those hoping to spend their honeymoon in Chile on the beach, planning ahead is essential. January and February are the two busiest months, at which time beaches are over crowded, prices are up, and reservations are required. Getting Married in Chile

Consuls are not authorised to solemnise civil weddings in Chile and in order for the marriage to be legal in Chile a marriage certificate needs to be registered at the Consulate of Chile. To register a marriage from overseas, both parties must be present at the respective consulate of their country in Chile together with their valid passports and birth certificates as well as their legalised marriage certificate. The documents need to be translated into Spanish and notarised before being presented. The documentation is then sent to the Civil Registry and Identification service which can take as long as six months. The cost varies from consular to consular.
