Abu Dhabi Overview

If you imagine your honeymoon to be full of romance, relaxation and luxury, then Abu Dhabi is the perfect honeymoon location for you. With pristine beaches on which to relax, luxurious hotels to reside in and fantastic shopping, what more could you want? There is also plenty of fantastic sightseeing which offers an insight into the Arabian cultures and traditions.

Abu Dhabi is the height of luxury and sophistication and it offers the honeymoon couple a relaxing break with plenty to see and do. Regular flights from Canada mean you could be exploring this amazing part of the world in around 17 hours. One of the must see attractions is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque with its elegant minarets and domes glistening in the sea. It's also one of the few mosques where non Muslims can actually look around inside. For a real feel of how life was before the oil boom, take a visit to the UAE heritage village which recreates some of the old traditions and features workshops with weaving and pot making displays. The Corniche or coastal promenade is a lovely way to spend some time just strolling along and taking in the skyline with its high rise buildings on one side and Gulf sea on the other. Sit at one of the numerous cafes and do a spot of people watching. Adrenalin junkies might enjoy a dune bashing safari in a 4x4 jeep, but make sure you go with an empty stomach. With so much to see and do, a honeymoon in Abu Dhabi will give you enough memories to last a lifetime.
