Weddings Abroad in Fiji

It is required by law for an overseas visitor getting marred in Fiji to sign a Marriage License at the nearest registry office at least one day prior to their intended wedding date. In addition copies of personal documents must be sent to the registry for verification at least 2 weeks before the wedding. The personal documents to bring with you are both passports and original birth certificates. You will also need to file a notice of Intention of Marriage Certificate which needs to be displayed for 21 days before the Marriage Licence will be granted. 2 witnesses over the age of 21 are also required to be present at the wedding ceremony itself.
