The law in Argentina only recognises a civil ceremony as legally binding although you have follow this with a religious ceremony. In addition either one of the couple must be either Argentinian or a permanent resident in Argentina. You must pick up your application forms to get married no less than 30 days before your intended date of marriage. You will also be required to take a medical examination. Documents you will need include a valid passport and full birth certificates. You will also need to have 2 witnesses. The civil service requires waiting in line on the said date at the Civil Registry Office where couples are married on a first come, first served basis. It takes around 20 minutes.
