The average temperature in Costa Rica is 22 degrees Celsius, although higher temperatures are typical along the coast and the climate varies considerably with elevation. Remember to pack a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to avoid a painful sunburn which may ultimately suck the life out of your honeymoon in Costa Rica. Clear skies and sunshine can be expected year round in Costa Rica, with short afternoon showers arriving from May through November. December through April are the driest months and also the busiest, and you will have to contend with the Christmas and Spring break crowd if you travel at this time. Be sure to plan ahead and make reservations as far in advance as possible. If you can outsmart the crowds, or if you actually prefer them, a honeymoon in Costa Rica will be relaxing and romantic, as well as adventurous any time of year.

Marriage Requirements for Costa Rica

Getting married in Costa Rica is relatively simple and a local lawyer can take care of all the paperwork for you. There is no waiting time but you do need to submit your paperwork at least one month before your intended wedding date. You will need to provide a sheet detailing full names of both parties, ages and nationality, passport numbers, address and occupation, marital status, father's full name and nationality as well as mother's maiden name and nationality. You will also need to provide details of 2 witnesses. Couples also need to bring with them their valid passports, two copies and a copy of the witnesses' passport. On arrival they will have to swear that all the information is correct. After the ceremony a marriage certificate is filed in Costa Rica and another is sent to the couple's embassy in their residing country. A copy is also sent to their home address.
