Dyson Handhelds Get A Makeover

by STAFF

Not-So-Extreme Makeover: The same Dyson you love, only better!Not-So-Extreme Makeover: The same Dyson you love, only better!Rejoice, Dyson lovers! The Dyson handheld models have received an update worth talking about. The new DC30 and DC31 Handhelds are now smaller yet stronger by shrinking considerably in size and gaining the benefit of an improved Dyson digital motor.

We had the opportunity to give the DC30 a serious test drive and really enjoyed it. This is not your mother's crumb-sweeper! We used it in the office to keep keyboards dust-free and love it for under the desk, in and around the mess of cords and power bars. It's also fabulous to hit the nooks and crannies of the highchair and car seats.

While receiving a vacuum for Christmas from my husband would likely make last year's Doghouse viral video a reality, it would actually be a great gift for him! Notorious for popcorn shrapnel, he would be elated to be able to easily clean up after himself. We bet your parents could also really use an update on their 30-year old Dust Buster.

There are a couple of different models but the base model suited our needs just fine. For pet lovers, there’s even the DC31 Animal (sounds like a Muppet from the future, doesn’t it?), designed specifically for pet hair and dander sucking. A common complaint of the handheld Dyson is that the battery drains too quickly – but during our extensive test-drive, the DC30 did not once run out of juice.

These babies range in price from $200 to $280 and are available online from Dyson Canada, currently with FREE 24-hour shipping leading up to the holidays. Almost as good as the Big Guy himself!
