Entourage: Season Four
by STAFF
The Boys Can't Get it WrongVincent Chase is a star. If he were a real celebrity, he would be my celebrity boyfriend. In fact, Adrian Grenier as Chase Hammond (Chase again?) in Drives Me Crazy was my celebrity boyfriend circa 1999. (Yes, I was too old for him. No, I didn't care. Yes, I know this makes me a sicko.)
In any case, Vincent Chase is a star. His best friends are one part along for the ride (Turtle), one part trying to make his own way (Johnny Drama), and one part trying to run the business (E). His manager (Ari Gold) is oddly charming - his penchant for lewd comments is countered by his mad love for Mrs. Ari and their kids, which is indisputably adorable. The first three seasons of the show have taken us through the early years in Vince's career, which have been a resounding success. For Vincent Chase, life is good.
Somehow, I didn't realize that the fourth season of Entourage was half over until last weekend over a barbecue with the in-laws. My husband and I had been waiting with bated breath after the season three finale, but had assumed it was six or so months 'til the show came back. After watching the first eight episodes in a row that Sunday night, I was up to date and crazy for the whole crew all over again.
Not a weak episode yet. Keep it up, Vincent Chase. Things can only get better.
2009 Holiday TV Guide
If you were to name all the things you like about the December holidays, campy TV specials would probably make it somewhere on the list.
Bitten & Smitten: Why Women Love Vampires
With the countdown on for the second season of True Blood (PVR Alert: HBO Canada, Sunday, June 14, 9pm EST), vampire fever is in the air.
The Lady Television Problem
With the writers' strike in what feels like permanent effect, we are all no doubt feeling the pains of having to fill our precious, precious time in other ways.
Flight of the Conchords
Picture it: Two young, handsome, and talented New Zealanders come to New York City to make it big. Only, wait. Well, they're sort of young. And handsome? Maybe not the classic definition, but they're certainly their own brand of adorable. And talented?
Chuck
When I saw the commercials for this show, I was drawn to it. I couldn't help myself. Something about the absurdity of the whole concept - which they kept as mysterious as possible in the ads - made me giggle.
